Autumn is in full swing now and the weather has got colder here in Cornwall the rain was torrential this weekend, practically horizontal. However, it is needed because our local reservoir is just a puddle surrounded by mud. South West Water estimates we need heavy rain all winter to fill it up.
I have been working on two new patterns.
The first is a hand-sewn felt Sun Bear kit which is an adaption to my existing Sun Bear pattern which requires machine sewing. I hope to do versions of each of my bears which can be hand sewn and create kits containing all the materials you would need to make one. To me, this would be a lovely project for a beginner sewer young or old.
In addition, I am working on a completely new Panda pattern. The photographs show my first mock-ups. It was my husband that thought they were too thin. He was right pandas are little round balls of fluff. So, Penrose the Panda is becoming rounder and smaller. I do enjoy this process of designing. I hope to get these done in the next few weeks.
