Christmas Preparations
05/12/2022
I am not the type of person who has my Christmas decoration up in August. I prefer to wait until a couple of weeks before Christmas to get my tree up and put out my ornaments. However, I had found a metal ring from last year’s wreath in the garden shed and finding myself with a day to myself I decided to go foraging for greenery in the woods next to my house and then spent a pleasant couple of hours making my door wreath. Dick and Angel from Chateau DIY would be proud.
My door now has a spikey fragrant wreath which cost me nothing. There is Ivy from my garden wall; Holly from a tree in the woods (I left the branches with berries on the tree for the birds); Rosemary sprigs and dried Sedum flower heads from my garden and finally Laurel.
It's lovely and natural.
Update on Penrose the Panda
The new Penrose the Panda pattern is slowly taking shape. He has become rounder, squatter and cuter. I have just got a few more photographs to take and then proofreading will be required. When finished I will be posting it on my Etsy store.
I also intend to make Penrose the Panda into a hand-sewing felt kit box in the New Year.
I had hoped to have finished it by now, but it has taken me longer than I anticipated because I keep getting distracted by other projects such as Christmas Wreaths.
However, I do believe that some things are worth waiting for.
